This will be the meeting place for the July, Aug and Sept meetings or until further notice. You should recieve an email confirmation of the address if you are registered. This premises had bar and eating facilities and courtesy bus, taxis and plenty of parking.. It is located approx 800m further south from previous location. On the main road look for MacDonalds and the Steam Train Veterans centre.
August 2017 will be the Glen Porter Memorial build competition. The build is out of the box, airfix 1:72 focke-wolfe FW190 F8 or A8.
We look forward to a great competition in memory of Glen Porters contribution to small “brallie” scale reviews and builds. Glen was a long time AMMS and APMA member and a contributor to many online forums and magazines.

Clarendon Kenworth Klassic Truck Show, Model and Hobby Show, Sydney Antique Machinery Show, LVR Steam train rides from Richmond to Mulgrave. Civilian and Military displays and vehicles. Theme this year is 100 Years of the Fordson Tractor and 150 Years of Lister.
Sydney Scale Model Show will have representatives there.

AMMS Sydney will have a display. Volunteers are welcome to assist in manning the stand. Great opportunity to get a few hours of modelling done or talking to interested vistors to the stand.
Peter was again awarded the AMMS Sydney Modeller Of The Year – 2016 Lyndsey Sparkes Memorial Award., for second year in a row. So will it be a hatrick in 2017?

We are always looking for new members including juniors to join us at our meetings. So if you have an interest in military subjects but cannot afford a 1:1 scale version then develop your skills in scale modelling in 1: many scales of your favorite military subjects and learn from a range of master builders at our meetings.
Dont do military, thats OK too as we accomodate Sci Fi, car and truck, figures and a range of other scale modellers as well. You can discuss your models on our facebook page.

Dont forget that every meeting is a competition night so get those completed models in for judging for medallions, End of Year Best of Class and Modeller of the Year.
We Made It! (Ahem, well, most of us did!)
As agreed, the June 2006 meeting was the deadline for finishing models for the our KV Theme Build 2006. While there remain a few stragglers (and yes, we know who we are) most of the intrepid band which set forth actually got to the end and turned in a finished model.
While it was noticeable that some amongst us could not quite shake off the temptation to “etch it up” a little, especially over the engine louvres, a major point which came out of this exercise was that it is indeed possible to add some after market goodies AND finish a model within six months! An Exercise in Persistence
The object of the competition was to build something strictly out-of-the box.
Naturally, with a title like this, there were a few catches, er, conditions:
